Matthew Carlson is an artist and educator living and working in Portland, Oregon. He has taught and continues to explore a variety of visual art forms including: photography, drawing, printmaking and ceramics. Matthew has a deep commitment to the arts both as a practicing artist and professional educator. He believes that art can connect us, reflect our common humanity, provide us with an avenue to process our world, bring beauty into common spaces and be an outlet for individual creative freedom.
