Financial Aid
YMA will be reviewing financial aid applications three times during the registration period for YMA 2025.
This year there will be a non-refundable $25 fee for financial aid applicants that will be directly applied to your tuition once you have received your award. Please consider paying for this fee with the ACH account, debit, or credit card you plan to use to make your tuition payments, as it will be on file in our system and allow us to seamlessly set up any payment plans or arrangements with you.
REVIEW DEADLINES
Tuesday, November 5, 5pm
Monday, January 6, 5pm
Monday, March 3, 5pm
Funds will be dispersed after each deadline based on the financial need of those applicants. YMA encourages all families to apply early.
All families will be required to submit the most recent Federal tax forms, most recent pay-stubs, and a letter from your camper about why they wish to attend YMA. All legal guardians financially responsible for the camper are required to submit this information. Applications with missing information will not be reviewed until all materials are submitted. If you submit documentation after one of the review deadlines, your application will be reviewed during the next review period.
Please email Kate Andries with any specific questions.
Assistance is awarded on a competitive basis, taking into consideration the following factors:
Financial need of the student’s family
Proficiency and enthusiasm of the student in the major artistic area
Needs of YMA to strengthen sections or departments
Camp diversity and inclusivity
Every applicant will be given due consideration when financial aid is awarded, but because of the number of applicants, not every applicant may receive funds. For more information, please contact Kate Andries.
To Apply:
You will complete a financial aid request form when you register your student. You will not have to pay the full $400 deposit if you are applying for aid, but a $25 deposit will be due at the time of submission.
When you apply, you will need to provide the following supplemental materials:
Written statement of need
Your most recent tax filing and recent pay stubs
Financial information of all parents/guardians as well as any other adults in the household
Letter of recommendation from the student’s most recent instructor (if applicable)
Letter from the student outlining why you want to come to YMA
Optional: Additional statement of need from an adviser or teacher
Optional: Additional proof of need including proof of free or reduced lunch status, financial aid award statements from other organizations or schools, etc.
Additional Aid Options
YMA receives requests in excess of what we are able to provide each year. It is likely you will not receive your full request. We recommend you prepare now to supplement your YMA aid package with other scholarships or aid. Here are a few options to consider.
Rotary Club
Government funding through city, county, or state.
Corporations or businesses that employ family members
Your school's PTA
Personal Fundraising through GoFundMe, Facebook, etc.
If you are aware of other aid opportunities, please contact us and let us know!
